This is the picture of a typical Rajasthani household.
The picture shows two ladies sitting next to a grinder made out of two stone blocks and grinding wheat to make flour. This is later used to make Chappati or Roti. The grinder works in such a way that the stone on top mounted on an axle such that it can move when rotated and has a hole in the center through which Wheat is put in the grinder. When the stone block on top is rotated the wheat is forced between the stones and comes through the sides as flour.
Why two ladies?
Well, nobody can rotate that stone for a long time. Its extremely heavy and one tires out soon.
In the background towards the right is an old man playing his musical instrument, the Sitar.
Even today one can find real scenes like this in Rajasthan. Modernisation in Rajasthan is just not fast enough. Its also one of those rare location where culture is preserved.
